Biography :
"He began his career as a critic and curator in the mid-sixties in Milan, then continuing to Rome. Since 1970, collaborates with the Incontri Internazionali d'Arte in the exhibition Contemporary Rome in 1973. Since 1976, has been an independent journalist, member of the order. from 1979 to 1999 professor and honorary academician of the Pietro Vannucci Academy of Fine Arts of Perugia. He taught at the University of Cassino from 1999 to 2006 and the University of Florence from 2005 to 2006. He was director of visual arts at the Palazzo Fabroni Contemporary in Pistoia, the Luigi Pecci Contemporary Art Center in Prato and CAMEC (La Spezia Center for Modern and Contemporary Art) and the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Lugano. He is currently president of the Burri Foundation. He was professor of contemporary art history at the University of Cassino and curator of several International Art Biennales such as Dakar, Gubbio and La Spezia. He has organized exhibitions of international artists such as Giuseppe Uncini, Vincenzo Agnetti, Alberto Burri, Louise Nevelson, Yves Klein, Alighiero Boetti, Lucio Fontana, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Fausto Melotti, Enrico Castellani, Luciano Fabro, Giulio Paolini, and Francesco Lo Savio. The author's more than three hundred essays on contemporary art have been published in monographs, newspapers and magazines."
