Biography :
"Invited in 1969 and 1970 to two editions of the Young Artists exhibition at the San Fedele Gallery in Milan, he exhibited large photographic panels documenting interventions in the territory inspired by land art. He attended industrial design courses at the Istituto Statale d'Arte in Venice where he met Italo Zannier and Luigi Veronese. In 1974 he graduated in architecture. His research work is appreciated by the critic Berto Morucchio. He teaches at the Liceo Artistico in Venice as assistant to E. Bacci, subsequently collaborating with G. Morandis, A. Pizzinato and A. Anselmi. Guido Sartorelli invited him to the collective exhibition “Nuovi Media” in 1977. In 1978, two personal exhibitions, at the Tommaseo, in Trieste and the following year in Venice, at the "Galleria del Cavallino" he proposed a cycle of photos, "PRESENZE", taken in the Venetian studio of the painter, Anselmo Anselmi, with whom he established an intense human and professional relationship. Also in the same year, presented by the Galleria del Cavallino, he took part in the Bologna Art Fair where he exhibited large-scale works printed on Tensi canvas.
Between December 1980 and February 1981, he participated in “IMMAGINE/IMMAGINARIO”, a cycle of exhibitions promoted and self-financed by a group of Venetian artists, with the critical coordination of Carlo Gentili. Personal exhibitions in Venice, at the “Il Canale” gallery, in Verona, at the “Ponte Rosso” gallery, at Gian Carlo Calcagni's “Plusart” in Mestre, with Luigi Viola, in Mirano (Ve) at the “Riviere Spazio d'Arte” gallery ”. At the beginning of the eighties, he was called to participate in exhibitions promoted by the “Bevilacqua La Masa” foundation of Venice and curated by the critic Toni Toniato. Between '77 and '78, he participated in the video workshops promoted by Gabriella and Paolo Cardazzo with the creation of four videos, one conceived and produced in collaboration with Luigi Viola.
For the “Edizioni del Cavallino”, in 1980, in the “Atori del libro” series, he published a photographic portfolio, PRESENZE, signed and numbered, in thirty copies. In 1997, Massimo Donà dedicated a short essay to him, “Velata Claritas”, a critical reflection on the relationship between art and philosophy. After a period dedicated to planning and design, at the beginning of the 1990s, he resumed artistic research in the fields of photography and video production, using new digital technologies, with cycles dedicated to the Berlin (2004) and London (2008) metros. ) presented by the critic, Fausto Raschiatore. April 2007: “An Intermediate Generation” (artistic journeys in Venice in the 70s) curated by Riccardo Caldura, at the Candiani Cultural Center in Mestre. In February 2009, personal “Unbound territories”, at Christina Winkler Darby's gallery, “Art Gallery 9900” Lienz, Austria."
