Abécédaire télévisuel I

Description

"An accumulation of twelve television monitors offer a sample of electronic vocabulary. The general theme is “Disturbance” considered in its aesthetic and iconoclastic functions.
Six monitors show images from a video recorder. The subjects of these video tapes are alternated by electronic disturbances. (Each monitor had been adjusted differently for luminosity, contrast, etc.).
The other 6 monitors are formal exercises revealing the structure of the televisual matter itself (web, dot, horizontally, etc.) It involves the modification of the wireless sets themselves (programs captured by antenna) in order to obtain a catalogue of disturbances, as well collage and cutting out of black plastic that covers the monitor. (Series of obliterations)"
