Hot Video Braille/Negatif et Positif

Description

"This piece is a development of an analogous piece produced at B.R.A., Geneva in 1972 in the series "Cleaning my image": the word video (=I see) written in braille with sticky papers on the monitor screen; this is reflected in a mirror and this image taken by the camera is sent back to the monitor. Thus, from a perspective of mise en abyme, the word video is superimposed indefinitely right side up and upside down. Reading is only possible by touching the screen, provided you know Braille.
Here the word is written with candles and only the burning of the hands passed over the flames, for someone who cannot see, allows it to be read.
The negative version gives black flames like points of darkness."
