St Sulpice Square in Paris, based on a text by the French writer Georges Perec from his book "Tentative d'épuisement d'un lieu parisien" (attempt to exhaust a place in Paris), 1975. A commentary on everyday instants and the insignificance of collective everyday life.

The film is the diploma thesis project in the Department of Video - Cinema - Animated Sketching at the ENSAD school, Paris.

The film consists of two parts:

The first part uses the panoramic movement of the camera to capture everyday life in the square. Image layers are created by combining panoramic movements of different scales and different temporalities.

In the second section there is a transition from real space to an imaginary, mental space of fragments and reflections.

The music is free jazz and was chosen because it consists of fragments of musical themes. The moment one musical theme begins to develop, it is removed by another."

“The film is inspired by the text Attempt to Exhaust a Parisian Place by Georges Perec. In the first part, the film uses the panoramic view as a tool for exploring and narrating the space of Place St-Sulpice, in Paris, while in the second part, the use of close-ups creates a feeling of strangeness. » (Source: Manthos Santorineos)
