"Damnjan performed a series of video performances entitled Reading the same text, Reading Marx, Hegel and the Bible by matchlight, Stain in space or the position of an individual in society, and The daily ritual of drinking coffee in Tübingen in 1976. The meanings of these performances are presented in the author's texts written at the beginning of each video and refer to the author's desire to express his own views on the issues of the position of the individual, especially the artist, and the position of the field of art in the concrete social and political context of contemporary reality."
