Je ne peux pas dessiner ma main tenant de se dessiner en dessinant

Description

"This piece is the first part of the diptych in the form of a visual and verbal palindrome: “Ego l'éloge”. The second, “Le Malentendu de la chapelle Sixtine”, is at the same time, like the first, a visual palindrome and a commentary in the form of a palindrome of the first part as well as a tribute to the galleria dell'obelisco since the obelisco is in some way comes out the solid echo of the sun's ray and that it is located in Rome on Via Sistina.
The first part of this double piece comes from work begun in 1964, the “T.V. Drawings”, consisting of drawing on the screen, or on a series of transparencies, the progress of a television program: the piece consists of 2 monitors placed side by side: the one on the right connected to another camera which films the two monitors : on the right screen my right hand tries to draw itself: cannot do it; on the left screen my left hand succeeds in drawing my right hand, follows a series of possible permutations: the artist, in his representation of the world and of himself in the world, drowns - narcissistic dissolution - in the cancellation of the relationship dialectic between failure and success."
