"A poem by Baudelaire, recited in English by a male voice, sets the theme: change and sadness determine the mood of the somber black and white work, which shows the actor's face and her hands peeling off the skin of her face with nonchalant movements . The work, like many of the video works from that year, was created in Los Angeles and is reminiscent of a Hollywood horror film. The artist focuses on the topic of skinning as an ironic quote to the dark lines of Baudelaire's poem."
