Description

"Two monitors stand - with their backs facing each other - on the floor of a long room. I sit between these two monitors. A color television program is playing on the monitor behind me: News from the clothing market. The black and white compilation of the beginnings of the Tagesschau is running on the monitor in front of me: you can see the clock, the Tagesschau sign, hear the recognition tone, catch a few snatches of the first news. Towards the end of this volume, the cuts become faster and faster, the actual information becomes less and less, only the symbol of the program remains.
During the performance I push the monitors apart, the fashion show with the screen against the wall. The Tagesschau into a camera that transmits its image to a third monitor. A text is assigned to the performance."
